Warning: Ranting begins.
Marvel, is this how you are trying to get people to forget about the Mary Jane Statue drama?

1. How is this appropriate for 9 yr olds? No really? HOW? If you want to make porn comics, stop tip-toeing around it and make a whole "Marvelxxx" line. If the whole point of your covers and characters are to be used as wank material, wouldn't it be easier to just create a porn section of Marvel? Then you wouldn't have to deal with people calling you out on your bullshit.

2. Misty Knight is supposed to be black. I know traditional manga has a hard time illustrating black or any ethnic features, so I'm willing to forgive the pointy nose.... but! Black hair doesn't work that way!! You don't have silky smooth relaxed hair in the front and a big ass (and fake looking) afro in the back. WTF.

You know, I got into comics because of all the superhero cartoons. I've never been into the comics, but within the last year or two I've been learning more about them, going to the comic book store and picking up issues... I also like to do research online to decide what comics to buy. I love learning more about the characters that I see animated and even more about new ones I've never seen before. I should be one of the prime targets you should be marketing to.... you do want my money don't you? I learned about Misty Knight, and the Heroes for Hire, through the Ormes Society and picked up an issue a while ago. If I had gone to the store and saw that cover, without any knowledge of the characters, I would have never bought a Heroes for Hire comic because I would have thought it was porn. (I can find that kind of stuff elsewhere... NSFW)

I mean, you have a comic about a strong crime-fighting female duo who kick villain ass. I know there are many women (and men) who would be and are interested in this!

I WANT TO BE A FAN OF SUPERHERO COMICS. I really really do. But these kinds of products are driving me away...

You know how you can fix that cover? Make the girls look frikken pissed! They look like helpless victims. You know that in a superhero comic, the heroes will evenually figure out how to get out of the trouble they are in... why not make them look like they at least have a plan? They could easily have an expression that says, "Are you frikken kidding me?!" Make them look annoyed, make them look angry, make them look indignant.... anything but powerless.
